What the food and dining conversation looks like on Twitter, 80km around the Comox Valley

Here's another "old one" – the Comox Valley is a "land of plenty." Yup. From the Salish "Komoux" which means "land of plenty." And it is: plenty of great food – and plenty of great chefs and restauranteurs, as well as plenty of us who enjoy going out to eat.

I write about food in the greater Comox Valley -  Campbell River region. What I call the "mid-Island." Plenty to write about. One of the things I like to do is see what the online conversation is about things like "food," "dining," and "restaurants." Here's an example of what the Twitter conversation looks like, within an 80km radius of the Town of Comox. This is made possible by a cool bit of social media analytic software called Sayzu. Find out more at Sayzu.com - thanks to Angus and Alexei for making this possible (and letting me into the sandbox to play!).

By the way, you can play with this bit of data visualization by clicking on the words and seeing where that takes you. Have fun!
